OVERVIEW: Study Management is a mandatory foundational and continuing course in the VCDS program.  It helps you to organize your study planning and execution skills, so that you set study goals and stay on schedule with completing the assignments throughout the program.  With such resources as the Module Planners (aka MPs), you will be guided through your studies on a module-by-module, or weekly, basis. This subject is studied over three trimesters - i.e. Trimesters-01, Trimester-02 and Trimester-03 of Year 1 in the C-CDS program, and in all three semesters annually, throughout the program.

Year 1 = MIN-170, Year 2 = MIN-270, Year 3 = MIN-370, Year 4 = MIN-470, Year 5 = MIN-570, Year 6 = MIN-670, Year 7 = MIN-770.

OVERVIEW: Ministry Leadership Practice is a mandatory foundational and continuing course, which is studied in every year of the VCDS program. It helps you to identify, log and sharpen your leadership service skills so that you perform better in the areas in which you serve. Ultimately, with your regularly submitted reviews, we are kept informed of your leadership activities and development in your community. This subject is studied over three trimesters - i.e. Trimesters-01, Trimester-02 and Trimester-03 of Year 1 in the C-CDS program.

Year 1 = ART-101, Year 2 = ART-203, Year 3 = ART-303, Year 4 = ART-403, Year 5 = ART-503, Year 6 = ART-603, Year 7 = ART-703.

OVERVIEW: Modern Technique & Appreciation is a mandatory foundational and continuing course studied annually in the VCDS program, usually during the third trimester - except for Year 1 in which it is studied in the first trimester.  Divided into two main categories, this subject deals with practical technique skills in modern dance or fitness training, as well as continued learning achievement (aka CLA) events. You will be required to attend a local instructional class in a modern or fitness technique, or alternately, just practice the techniques at home with the aid of such instructional multimedia resources as videotapes, manuals, cds, etc. You will also be required to schedule and attend certain CLA events such as dance workshops, seminars, theatrical productions, even servmons, etc, and sometimes watch tv and/or videotaped performances. Additionally, for both these categories of practical activities – i.e. modern technique training and CLA events – you will be required to submit regular written reviews on a weekly basis.
